TransAM Tour at Road Atlanta

Located 45 minutes east of Atlanta, Road Atlanta is a world-class race track that hosts a variety of events, They have amazing supporting facilities, a great infield, and a brand new 6 story tower that has everything you could think of needing at a day at the track. I love having the opportunity to come out and shoot here. The variety of turns and the changes in elevation make for such a cool venue to come take pictures for. All 175 acres of the property offer something that is set up for enjoyment of the spectators. The most popular spectator location, ‘the Esses’ provides a automotive viewing experience unlike anything i have imagined. Road Atlanta should be on every gear head’s list of places to visit.

I was actually across the street at Lanier Raceplex camping for their drift event when i woke up to sounds of engines i knew were not coming from a 30 year old JDM drift car, but heavily modified V8’s and sequential transmission howls. After looking across the street and seeing the cars at the track, I had to go check it out. Luckily, I brought my badge with me and they were having the TransAm Tour. Any kind of street car or race car was in the pits, including a Formula 3 class of cars. This was a really fun event to shoot and Road Atlanta provided enjoyment as always.
